The Columbus Chapter of the American Culinary Federation (ACF) is a vibrant network of chefs, educators, culinary students, and industry professionals who are passionate about advancing the culinary arts in Central Ohio.

As part of the nation’s largest professional chef organization, our chapter connects members with education, mentorship, certifications, competitions, and community outreach that promote growth, leadership, and excellence in the kitchen and beyond.

Together, we represent a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and specialties—but we share a common goal: to support one another while raising the bar for culinary professionalism in our region.

What We Do

Our chapter hosts and participates in a wide variety of events and initiatives throughout the year, including:

🍳 Educational Meetings & Workshops

We meet monthly to learn from one another and grow professionally. These events feature:

  • Guest speakers from the culinary and hospitality world

  • Live cooking demonstrations

  • Business and leadership development topics

  • Hands-on skill-building sessions

🏆 Culinary Competitions & Recognition

We support and organize opportunities for chefs and students to compete and be recognized at the local and national level—including ACF certifications, ProStart mentorship, and the ACF awards program.

👩‍🍳 Community Outreach

We proudly serve Central Ohio through initiatives like:

  • Chef & Child – Teaching kids and families how to cook and eat well

  • Taste the Future and Taste to Remember – Showcasing culinary talent while supporting local causes

  • Holiday food drives, school visits, and more

🧑‍🎓 Mentorship & Student Support

We believe in lifting the next generation. Through scholarships, classroom partnerships, and ProStart engagement, we provide young culinarians with the encouragement and resources they need to thrive.
